A metaphor for the conflict between rationality and emotion; betweeen Apollo and Dionysus; between the empirical and the supernatural; between stasis and revolution...

our motto and mission is to

tickle the idiot
rapture the faithful
pity all the ignorant and hateful

illuminate the enlightened
confound the intellectual

Mr.Jimmy the Mule, esquire, I thank you for your kind and interesting comments. I'm always fascinated by any viewer response. Especially from fellow card-carrying members of that noble psuedo-gentry Deformed Noblemen. I will note that I think of the combination of unrelated elements shown here seems to me to speak of a mutating, hybridizing life-force within non-organic elements; its also a visual counterfeit, a trick, possibly a pun.

yes, and the image is strange and mysterious and the lovely carla tells me that the artifice and man-made-ness is doubled and part and parcel of the trick of the eye. sometimes it's fun to be fooled, and when we are fooled, we have the opportunity to see with new eyes.
exquisitely done my good man!
